US Customs and Border?
Hey
I am a 5th year med student in Hungary and I also collect IV tubing (as strange as this may sound,) I have a few IV sets in my flat hear (16 to be exact) some do and some don’t have needles at the end, but they are sterile in unopened packages
Question:
When I a coming back to the states at the end of this year, do I have to declare these tubes at customs? do you think they can take it away from me?
I do not plan to stay in Hungary once I graduate but I am afraid what will happen if customs find it, because I don’t want them taken away from me
I am currently a green-card (permanent resident of the US) holder

just make sure you have som paper in your purse verifying your medical student status..such as even a student card or the likes….
then make sure you put the items in your “Checked” luggage only..i am sure they would not let you bring it in carry on luggage…
Your Airline should verify this customs info for you….. because i guarantee they have been asked stranger things..
Also you can check the “Port Authority” website.. but I am pretty sure it will be ok in a suitcase that will be put under the plane..not in the main seating area
